Solveig Necklace from Norway

Brought back form an amazing trip to Oslo, the Norwegian Krone is a beautiful pierced coin with a stylised bird on a vine above the center hole based on the carving on the portal of Hylestad Stave Church (that you can find exhibited at the Museum of Cultural History of Oslo). On the reverse of the coin is a cross formed from the monogram of king Harald V repeated three times, flanked by the mint mark of the Royal Norwegian Mint and "NORGE", the name of Norway in Bokmål (cassical Norwegian).
